Hey, everybody. I'm chef Mareya, the Fit Foody. Today, I'm going to share some of the interesting facts about drinking vinegar. Now you might be thinking to yourself, why would I want to do that. There are enormous health benefits and really a history of drinking vinegar over thousands and thousands of years starting with my ancestors, the ancient Egyptians. They used to drink vinegar as a way to control their weight. And even Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine used apple cider vinegar specifically to help with weight control, digestion and a number of different health issues. Now what I like to do is I'll just take regular drinking water and for every oh about maybe five to six ounces I'll add a teaspoon of vinegar in. And I like using the apple cider vinegar that's raw and unfiltered because it's really the purest and most pristine of all of the vinegars. It's the least processed. And just drink it up. I'll add a little bit of stevia too just to make it slightly more palatable but personally I don't mind the taste of the vinegar, and the more you drink it the more you'll get used to it. Now this is an interesting fact that I read that when it comes to diabetics or people that have a tendency to spike their insulin, drinking vinegar can actually help with that as well. So if you're eating carbohydrates and you're drinking water with vinegar in it, it can help you to metabolize that sugar even better. So I say give it a try and here's to your health. I'm chef Mareya, the Fit Foody. Tastes really good. And I'll see you really soon.
