Hey, everybody. This is Chef Mareya, the Fit Foody, and today I'm going to share with you just some of the benefits of cucumber. Now, cucumber obviously it's really fresh. It's got that crisp nice flavor but did you know how many nutrients it actually delivers. It's a great low calorie snack first of all. You can take it and just slice it up into cute little circles here and pack them in a lunch box only 15 calories per ounce so you can enjoy as much cucumber as you want but the other great thing is cucumber is filled with Vitamin K which has been proven to be really helpful especially for Alzheimer's patients. So great for your memory, great for delivering potassium which is also important for your bodily function and making sure everything is moving the way it should. We want to keep you healthy. Now I love to eat cucumber with the skin on. The skin is actually a really good source of fiber. So you just want to make sure that you wash it properly with our Eat Cleaner fruit and vegetable wash or give it a wipe with the wipes but clean that skin and eat it because it's got a lot of benefit in the fiber. You can also just add it into your water. Now I love to keep a pitcher of water in the refrigerator, add a few slices of cucumber and you feel like you've gone to the spa and then when you are done you can eat the cucumber too. So it's great, it's versatile, full of vitamins, full of heart healthy benefits with the potassium and it's just so easy to enjoy. So I'm Chef Mareya, the Fit Foody. Get yourself some cucumber and enjoy it as much as you like, it's almost calorie free.
