Hi, I'm Denise Druce for LIVESTRONG.com. Let's talk about how to workout when you are tired. I'll show you three great stretches with breathing exercises that will help you wake right up. One of the most common questions I'm asked is how to get yourself to workout when you are tired. My answer is when you start moving then you'll feel like moving. So here are three stretches that I think really help you wake up and get ready to kind of talk yourself into a workout. So let's start with a chest stretch. We are going to open up the chest by interlacing the fingers behind. And we are going to take some really deep breaths here. So breathe in through your nose and feel your breath expanding your ribs. Feel your breath all the way into your belly and your lower back. And take about five really deep breaths there. Then you can reach your arms overhead to take a hold of one wrist and stretch yourself up and over. This is just like the stretch you do when you first get out of bed in the morning. And if you hold that stretch and really take in those deep breaths you feel yourself just starting to have more energy. And then the third stretch is a twist and this is really good to just kind of wake up your spine. So it starts with balance, stand on one foot. Take your opposite hand to your knee and then just look over your back shoulder and take some more deep breaths. So after doing those three stretches with some deep belly breaths that should give you enough energy to at least start your workout. And then once you've started you'll feel like doing more.
