Hi, I'm Denise Druce for LIVESTRONG.com. Let's take a look at some lifetime fitness activities, you will love these. For lifetime fitness activities one thing you always have with you is your own body weight. So lets look a couple of great exercises you can do with just your own body so lets start with boat pose from Yoga. You're gonna hold the back of your legs and then come to balance right on your sitting bones. Row your shoulders down and you can either hold on or let go, pull your abs in tight. To make this harder you can extend your legs up and hold that for several breaths. It's a great way to strengthen the core. Another exercise you can do while you're here is placing your feet on the ground, interlacing your fingers, lean back a little bit and then rotate from side to side. This works your obliques and your lower back. And then a third great exercise using your body weight is plank. We're gonna do plank on elbows. So bring your elbows down, interlace your fingers, tuck your toes under and hold that position as long as you can. Shoot for 30 seconds initially and eventually work your way up to 60 seconds of plank, and don't forget about good old fashioned walking probably the best lifetime fitness activity there is.
