My name is Dana Sanders, former NFL running back turned fitness trainer. We are here today in Seattle, Washington at beautiful Alki Point with LIVESTRONG.com. Today's question, non-weight bearing workouts for men. Now I know a lot about this subject. Most of my life I spent on the football field. I've got quite a few injuries from my reconstructive knee to banged up shoulders. So most of my workouts are really non-weight bearing. Now what I would suggest for you something as simple as swimming, biking. What I prefer to do is walk up hill on a treadmill because it really gets my cardiovascular level pretty high. And it works my quadriceps as well, my lower body. I also do pushups. I do a lot of situps. And mainly I do these things because it takes a lot of pressure off my joints. So if you are looking for a non-weight bearing workout more then likely you are looking for something that's going to be a little bit easier on your body, on your joints. And those are my suggestions for a non-weight bearing workout. And my name is Dana Sanders with LIVESTRONG.com. And remember happiness is a choice so choose to be happy and live strong.
