Hey, I'm Jay McLeod, the professional women's fitness trainer. Let's talk top 10 cardio activities. Ladies this is just my list. It varies from trainer to trainer. And this is in no particular order. First off running outdoors. Running outdoors is great, it's very convenient. You grab some shoes you just leave your house. You don't even have to eat. You can go run on an empty stomach ok. It's good because you can vary your path so it keeps things interesting. Great for burning calories. Number two, swimming. Swimming is great on the joints. Great on the joints, it's a full body exercise. And you can burn a ton of calories doing laps in your pool. Circuit training number three is going to be circuit training. Circuit training you are going to burn more calories with resistance then you would traditional weight training. It keeps your heart rate elevated and it's great if you only have 15 or 20 minutes to workout. Number four another favorite of mine is jumping rope. Jumping rope is convenient. You grab your rope once again you grab your shoes. And you jump wherever you're at ok. Jumping rope is great for burning body fat and tightening your calf muscles. Number five is spinning. Spinning builds endurance in your legs. You can actually increase the resistance to burn more calories. And it's low impact on your joints. Number six. Boxing. Boxing is great for coordination. Tightening up your midsection and building stronger and more defined muscles in your chest, your arms and your shoulders. Number seven, stair climbing. Stair climbing you are going to burn more calories then you would running on a treadmill ok. It's great for sculpting your legs and lifting your butt ok. It's lower impact then running on a treadmill. Number eight is dancing. Everybody's favorite dancing whether it's Zumba class, whether it's hip hop. Whether it's belly dancing. Something that's going to get you up and moving for 30 minutes to an hour is great. Number nine is the elliptical. Once again elliptical is lower impact on your knees ok. You can go forward, you can go back. Great, great for building the muscles in your legs. Number 10 Muay Thai. Muay Thai is the Thai form of boxing ok. It utilizes your hands, elbows, knees and shins to really condition your entire body. Now remember every time you step in a gym I want you to ask yourself how bad do you want it?
