I'm AJ Tucker. I'm going to show you the squat jumps for calves. Now, the great thing about this exercise is you don't need a big amount of weight, you don't need any machines. All you need is your own body weight. When I do this exercise, I'm going to be performing a squat with a hop at the end. Now, whenever I go for this exercise, I don't want to go too deep. If I go all the way down, then I'm going to tax my glutes and my hamstrings and quads before I can tax my calf muscles. So, I'm going to do a quarter-squat. I'm going a quarter of the way down, and then I'm going to come up, and back down, and repeat rapid-fire as many as I can, slightly pushing my hips back. If you're doing these bodyweight-style, it's best to do them in a timed manner. So, instead of focusing on reps, see how many reps you can do in 15 seconds. Or, see how many reps you can do in 30 seconds, or even 60 seconds.
