I'm Sara Holliday, and I'm going to demonstrate yoga poses for girls. Yoga is a great way to improve self esteem, self confidence, body awareness and reduce stress. And I'm going to show you a fun and simple sequence that you can show your group of girls. We're going to begin in a wide stance position. My toes are slightly turned out and my spine is tall. We're going to go into sunflower. So we're going to bring the arms high and healing, exhale, squat and then you're going to sweep the floor. Inhale up with a flat back, exhale at the top. And you'll repeat that a total of three to five times. After you repeated it three to five times, come all the way up. And now we're going to do a circular movement. So I'm going to circle towards my right foot, almost touching the floor, sweeping around which is fun for girls to do, three times all the way around. And then place your hands at your right foot. Stepping your right foot to downward dog we're going to go into a circle. Hold downward dog for two deep breaths pressing your heart center while lengthening the tailbone high. Then step your left foot forward, turning sideways on your mat circling towards that right foot again. Inhaling and exhaling repeating the circle about three times all the way around to your right foot again. Stepping your right foot back to downward dog, holding downward dog for two deep breaths, pressing your heart while lengthening the tailbone, step the left foot forward again and come all the way back to center. Then you would repeat the same thing going the other direction towards your left foot. Three circles all the way around your mat.
