I'm Holly Shore, and this is how to make fresh guacamole. Guacamole is a healthy and delicious snack or appetizer, and because avocado is the main ingredient it's full of healthy fats, fiber, vitamins and minerals. Here's an easy recipe for fresh guacamole. Using a sharp knife, cut your avocado in half and then twist to open and reveal the seed inside. Use the blade of your knife to twist the seed out of the avocado. Then take a large spoon and scoop the flesh of the avocado out into a mixing bowl. Next, add a half of teaspoon of course salt and juice from one lime into your mixing bowl. The lime is great because it acts as a preservative to prevent the avocado from browning and it also adds vitamin C. Roughly mash three of these ingredients together. Now, add a half a cup of dice onions, minced garlic, two tablespoons of chopped cilantro and one chopped tomato. Mix these ingredients together well. Because of the nutritional ingredients of the avocado, guacamole is a great choice for a snack, appetizers, spread or dip. Serve immediately with your favorite tortilla chips or it can be refrigerated for up to an hour.
