I'm Tanya Eberhardt, and this is yoga poses for liver health. Yoga for liver health will help you promote proper function of your liver. Your liver is one of the hardest working organs in your body. It detoxifies your blood stream and metabolizes fat. By practicing the following asanas will speed up a sluggish liver. Start at the center of your mat and step out wide. Turn the left toes in and the right toes out. And turn to face the top of your mat. Bring your hands into a reverse namaste behind your back. Bring the elbows and the shoulders back as you lift the chin and the sternum up. Now if you can't take a reverse namaste you grab opposite elbows still drawing the shoulders back and squeezing the shoulder blades towards each other. Hinge at the hips leading with the sternum over your right leg. Now the tendency is to open up the hips. To level out your hips bring weight onto your front leg and continue to hinge and reach the chin towards the toes. Hold the pose for six breaths. Inhale engage your abdominals to come all the way up an turn the right toes in and the left toes out. And repeat on the left side.
