Hi, I'm Natalie Jill. Let's talk about nutrition for fountain drinks. You know when you go to a restaurant they're so tempting. You want to put that cup up and grab those icy cold drinks but let's talk about the nutrition in those and are they healthy for you. A typical restaurant fountain drink 16 ounce serving can contain up to 200 calories a serving and over 50 grams of carbs most of which is sugar. That is not so ideal for your health. And if you pick an alternative like the ones with the artificial flavors and colors and sweeteners, they might not have as much sugar but you're getting those artificial sweeteners that can create a whole host of other problems including making you hungrier, and even contributing to some diseases. So what's the alternative. If you can't go with a water or an unsweetened tea, then consider choosing that fountain drink but mixing it part soda part water.
