I'm Morris Brossette, and this is how to get back into running after a winter break. Okay so the deal is what I would actually recommend instead of actually getting out of running throughout the course of winter try something different instead of running on the road lets try running on a trail. Lets try something like that that's more cross-training so you still retain the aerobic fitness, you still retain the strength you're just working it in a different, in a different way and it gives you more of a variety then just pounding on the pavement. But let's say you are gonna take a break from running for a short while. The thing you can also do is make sure you maintain a good strength training regimen again to keep the strength in the muscle but you're taking a break from running so we're gonna get back into it. Step 1 we'll start nice and easy. We'll start with a nice 2 minute aerobic based run with a 1 minute walk. Let's do that for about 20 to 30 minutes, okay. Do that for 3 days a week on like a Monday, a Wednesday, and a Friday. After a week then you can increase it to 3 minute run 1 minute walk and then you just progress up from there, okay. That's the best, easiest, and, most effective way to get back into running after a long winter break without causing damage.
