Hi, I'm Cary Williams and the question is how to choose a correct shoe for the gym. Well, depending on what you are doing at the gym, that's going to depict what kind of shoes you're going to be using. I'll go over some benefits of different types of shoes according to the activity you are doing. I have on running shoes which obviously I use for running but I also use them for skipping rope. They are lightweight so the shoe is very lightweight but it still gives enough support to do those type of activities. As you'll see here, we have boxing shoes, so I go to the boxing gym and train so hence we have boxing shoes here. The benefit of this shoe here is that you can see it's high, so this is a high top boxing shoe. There's a lot of support going on for your ankles. We do a lot of side to side movement when we are in the boxing ring and so this really gives a lot of support. You don't need a lot of sole here because you are not having that impact so you'll see that the soles are a little bit thinner than like your running shoe or like a cross-trainer. Cross-trainers are great. They are a little heavy like for me personally I don't really wear cross-trainers when I'm jogging or if I'm skipping rope because they feel too heavy for me but a lot of activities you can do in the gym like if you are just lifting weights and whatnot, cross-trainers are great for that. So again, benefits of different types of shoes depending on the activity, that's really how you're going to be choosing them.
