Hi, I'm Jay McLeod. Today, I'm going to show you how to gain muscle faster for hard gainers. Now what a hard gainer is is somebody with an ectomorph body type. This means you have longer muscles, longer bones, okay and that you have a fast metabolism, no matter what you eat, you just don't seem to gain weight. Now I'm going to show you a compound exercise for your chest that's great for hard gainers, okay, it's going to work more than just your chest muscle. It's also going to work your shoulders and your triceps, okay. Now this is the dumbbell chest press. What you want to do is lean back, okay, bring your elbows out to your sides, the dumbbells should be posted right outside your armpits, alright. You're going to exhale nice and strong, you're going to power the weight up, inhale and slowly lower returning your elbows out to your sides okay. Now I'm going light for demonstration purposes but if you are a hard gainer, you're do want to lift heavy, a weight that you can perform about six to eight reps with okay. Make sure you bring a spot, bring a buddy to the gym with you, somebody that can be there just in case to make sure that you are safe while you are going heavy.
