Hi, I'm Beth Shaw, founder of Yoga Fit and today we're going to do some stretching for the core. So one of the best ways to stretch out our core is to do back bends but we want to be warm before we do the back bend. So let's go ahead and extend the arms out, bend the knees, coming to an easy airplane pose, bringing either arm down, stretching up and then switching sides. So you are stretching right here through your torso and again you want to keep that knee bent, both knees bent to take the pressure off the spine. From here we're going to come up, place the hands at the low back, lift out of the low back and feel the stretch through this part of the body. And again you'll want to be here for 10 to 30 deep breaths really stretching out. Come into forward fold when you are done to stretch the low back and then coming back up we're going to do some lateral flexion to again stretch through the core. So again stretch these muscles, keep the core center firm. Lift and then repeat. This is one of the best ways to stretch out after doing core center work, ab exercises and then of course just finish with some deep breathing, breathing into your core center muscles to stretch them out. Inhale, fill the belly with air, exhale, pull it in, inhale fill, exhale, pull it in and repeat that several times. I'm Beth Shaw. These are yoga postures to stretch your core.
