Hi, I'm David Pollock, and I'm going to share with you what I do when my face is peeling after shaving. Here are a couple techniques for that perfect shave. Before shaving, rinse your skin with lukewarm water. You don't want to open up the pores. You just want to get the skin prepared. Number two prepare the skin for lubricity so the blade slides along, don't use one of the foaming shave creams. They will only dry out the skin and lead to more peeling. So you could either use a lotion based shave cream or I'll tell you another trick, you could even use a hair conditioner because that will soften the bristles when you shave. Rinse your blade often. When you are done, follow with an after shave. Not the old fashioned ones that are alcohol based but I'm going to show you how you can make your own that will moisturize the skin and prevent it from peeling. Take a little bit of almond oil, a little bit of sweet almond oil, a little bit of beeswax, mix them together, put them in the microwave and then let it cool overnight. You've created your own moisturizing shave balm that will stop the peeling after shaving.
