Hi, my name is Stella Metsovas, and today we're gonna talk about how do fruits benefit the human body. Haven't we all been told at some point to eat our fruits and vegetables. I mean I'd be seriously shocked if you haven't been told that once in your life. Cultures for thousands of years have enjoyed fruits. Little did they know back then that they were consuming a powerful array of nutrients known for longevity and health. Here's some quick facts for you. Fruits are rich in minerals that are known to benefit the digestive tract and Vitamin C which helps the immune system to stay string and healthy. They're rich in fiber which in turn helps regulate bell transit time and basically what that means is it helps move things through if you know what I mean. Phytonutrients are abundant in fruits and help protect the body from tissue damage. With all these wonderful health benefits I do need to advise you on a few things. Fruits still contain sugar and too much of a good thing will influence your insulin and glucose levels in a bad way. So those who have diabetes or need to lose some extra pounds or you find that actually losing the last few pounds are difficult limit your servings to 2 or less a day and offer low glycemic berries. Keep seasonal fruits when it comes to your food intake. For example you don't want to consume exotic fruits in the winter. When in doubt search online what fruits are seasonal to your area.
