Hi, everyone. I'm Rich Tola. Today, we are going to demonstrate how to do yoga shoulder shrugs. Now why do you want to do yoga shoulder shrugs? Is to strengthen your trapezius muscles and to improve your posture. So lets get started in tadasana standing foundation pose right. Try to think elongating the spine. Think yoga principles getting tall in this pose. Good. So now with this pose all you are going to do is you are going to inhale up. And now you are going to bring these shoulders forward and down. It's a circular motion. You are going as wide as you can. So you are opening the heart bringing the shoulders up. Shrugging up as high as you can. Now lets bring it forward. Now you are going to turn the palms. And then watch how we do this circular motion. I'm opening through the heart. Now I'm not dumping into the low back right. If you have to squeeze the butt here you can. And then you are going to reverse it back so it's a big circular motion here. Right. Try not to lock through the knees. Try to relax through the legs right. Spine, good. See how we are just shrugging and then release.
