Hi, I'm Juliet Kaska and this is basic yoga stretching. Adding yoga stretches into any routine will help to improve your strength, your flexibility and your balance. Yoga stretches can be done every single day. So our first basic yoga stretch is called pyramid. You're going to take your left foot and turn it away from your body, toes out, take your right foot and turn it out slightly at a 45 degree angle. You're then going to turn your hips, completely in line with your front foot and you're going to hinge forward at the waistline until your back comes into a flat back. If it's available to you to go all the way down to the floor, you'll reach down and touch the floor with your hands and the final part of the position is to actually exhale and fold forward towards your thigh just like this. So from pyramid we're going to go into Warrior II. Take your right foot and step it forward. Take your left foot and step it back. You want to bring your right leg down until it's parallel to the ground ideally. Your left leg is slightly turned in at the toes and then you are turning your torso to face out and away, bring your arms out to the side in one straight line from fingertip to fingertip and then the last thing is turn and look over your right fingertips.
