I'm Diane Hoch, and this is good benefits of flax seeds. Flax seeds offer the benefits of fiber, protein and heart healthy omega-3 fatty acids. They are a great little super food that I love using. The thing about flax seeds is that until you break that little cell wall here of the little seed, you're not gonna get the most out of the nutrition it offers. So I like to have a little grinder handy. You have the little seeds, and this grinder's gonna ground them right up. You can use a coffee grinder, or, you know, one of these little grinders is just fine that comes with the little attachment here. Great. So now we have this beautiful powder, and you can actually buy it already milled, which is fine, but some people feel that the nutritional benefits are compromised a little bit. So, to do it fresh, now look what I do here. You have this beautiful powder, and now put it right into my glass, and add my green smoothie in here, 'cause I love my green smoothies, they're so wonderful. So I'm just gonna mix it up, and you can put it in the blender as well, or you could do it afterwards, but I just wanted to show you here, and then you get the beautiful heart healthy benefits of omega-3 fatty acids, the protein, fiber and iron that's in this great little seed. So the good benefits of flax seed, eat them up. Yum, Good.
