I'm Diane Hoch, and this is healthy and tasty treats under 15 minutes. When you're looking for something quick and healthy to munch on, try reaching for a bunch of kale. Kale chips are a simple and nutritious snack that take under 15 minutes to make and are really great. Pepita dusted kale chips, we take kale and we're just breaking it into pieces on a parchment-lined baking sheet. We're going to toast some pepitas, which are pumpkin seeds actually, in a dry pan, and until they're crispy just about two minutes, three minutes, and put it into a grinder. So, a coffee grinder, or just a little Cuisinart, and it's amazing how it turns into a little powder. From there, we're going to take olive oil, with your hands you can actually just rub it all over the kale leaves, making sure each leaf gets some olive oil on there, you want it to be able to get crispy with the oil. We're going to sprinkle our beautiful pepita dust onto the kale chips, add some sea salt, and put it in a 425 degree oven for about 10 to 13 minutes, depending on the heat of your own oven, and wallah, a beautiful healthy and tasty treat in under 15 minutes. These kale chips are not only delicious, but they are full of a fiber, phytonutrients, protein and iron. So enjoy, just toast away, yum.
