Hi, I'm Jay McLeod. Today, we're going to discuss what is the side to side squat cardio drill okay? This drill is basically a plyometric exercise okay that's great for athletes and people who want a serious okay, calorie burning heart rate raising workout. For the side to side squat cardio drill, okay, what you can do is especially if you are unfamiliar with the exercise, you can grab a jump rope or a piece of string and lay it out okay? Now from here we're going to get into a squat position okay? Our feet are going to be, you're going to bring your feet in a little closer than shoulder width on this one okay, feet in okay, chest out, now our knees are going to track over our second and third toe, we'll push our hips back but we don't sink into a full squat, okay we want to be able to explode side to side quickly okay? So you're going to drop into a quarter squat, hands come up and you're going to simply hope over the rope. I'm here, I explode up, nice and small, little hops over the rope. Okay, once you get familiar with the exercise, you want to see how quickly you can go in 30 seconds to a minute.
