Hi, I'm Michael Carson here to discuss with you what muscles do dumbbell pullovers work. Now, the pectoral major is the main muscle that is working when doing the dumbbell pullovers but you also get the pec minor. You get the latissimus dorsi, the larger muscle of the back, you get your teres major and your teres minor. You are working all sorts of the core as well as stabilizing yourself while you are doing this exercise. It's a very important exercise to do but you want to be safe. As you bring the dumbbell over your body you want to make sure that you are allowing the dumbbell to shift in weight so the bottom of the weight stays low. You don't want to bring it up so the end is up because then that could fall on you and hurt you. So take a look again, make sure that you bring it over the top, very gently and let the weight stay at the bottom, not staying even, because you will have problems with that. But if you do it correctly, you're going to feel it in the chest the right way. You're going to feel it in your back and get an excellent workout.
