I'm Ashley Mitchell, and these are exercise techniques for weight loss. Losing weight's very, very difficult, and quite a challenge, and most of the times we often stick to the same old, and we really need to know how do we lose that fat, how do we lose that weight. So the first technique for weight loss is knowing the law of thermodynamics, which is you need to be burning more than you consume. So, that means doing a lot of cardio. That means keeping your heart rate zone between 60 and 90 percent, especially 80 to 85 percent for weight loss, so you get this percentage by 220 minus your age, times .65 times .90, and you get the heart rate range that you have to stay between. So you want to be doing that three to five times a week, about 30 to 60 minutes, so just doing a lot of cardio. Also, you want to be doing weight training. So, every pound of muscle that you have is burning about 30 to 50 calories to maintain that muscle, so by having more muscle, you're losing more fat and more weight. So you want to be doing some resistance training, and you can range all the exercises. One in particular right now would be working out your obliques. So you're knees are together, you're going side to side, getting a nice squeeze, maintaining that alignment, to really hold that isometric contraction, weight of your choice, three to four sets, 12 to 15 reps, and just have fun with it.
