Hi, I'm Marcos Avellan and we're going to cover the key differences between Tae Kwon Do and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Each style has their own specialized techniques and we're going to cover that right now. Every martial art has their own unique specialized techniques. Tae Kwon Do is a martial art that specializes in kicks and you have to utilize a lot of footwork and range to keep their opponents away from them while landing very sharp kicks and very sharp punches. Whereas Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art that focuses on the clench and the ground fighting aspect. So a Tae Kwon Do fighter is going to try to keep you away and use a range whereas a Jiu-Jitsu fighter is going to try to close the distance, take you down, control the position and look for a submission hold or finish the fight with strikes on the ground. Each style can be effective depending on the scenario, the kind of fight you are fighting or the situation.
