I'm Emily Jones. I'm going to demonstrate some stretches for beginners in gymnastics. Probably one of the main keys for gymnastics is flexibility. As you can know for leap lumps, splits, everything in gymnastics has to do with your flexibility. So for whoever is beginning in gymnastics I'm going to show you and demonstrate an exercise that will help your inner thigh flexibility. All you will need is a wall, a floor and your thighs. Make sure that you do this daily so you can increase your flexibility. You're going to lower to the floor and a good thing about this stretch you can do it while watching TV, reading or just hanging out at home. Scooting your bottom all the way to the wall you're going to lower your legs against the wall all the way down as far as they can go. You're going to release the contraction of your muscles relaxing your legs and allowing gravity to pull your legs as far as your muscles will allow. You're going to hold this position not moving, not bouncing for 30 seconds. After stretching for about 30 seconds, you're going to release, bend and relax and then continue with another set of stretching for 30 seconds. You're going to repeat this for about five times as many times during the day as you can and it's very important that you stretch daily as a beginner in gymnastics.
