Hi I'm Jackie Arnett and this is good fibers that are easy on your stomach. Fiber's benefits are immense for healthy digestion. Fiber helps keep you regular while promoting detoxification of the GI tract. However, not all fibers are the same and some are just easier on your stomach. The two main types of fibers are insoluble and soluble. Insoluble fibers you can find in whole grain breads and different whole grains such as oats, barley and rye. What insoluble fibers do is they are nondigestable so what they do is they create a bulk in the digestive tract. It helps keep you regular but it can cause gastrointestinal distress, especially if you are not drinking enough water with it. Another type of fiber is soluble fiber. Soluble fibers you can find in kale, spinach, carrots and all different types of fruits and vegetables. Soluble fiber is great because it promotes healthy bacteria in the GI tract and it also is better because it has a lot more water content so it's easy for your digestion. So if you are choosing fiber, try and choose soluble fibers which are fruits and vegetables so you can add more without gastrointestinal distress.
