Hi, I'm Jay McLeod. Today, I'm gonna show you pull-ups for the serratus anterior okay. Your serratus muscles often called the boxing, the boxing muscle cause they help with your punches okay is located right above your obliques and, and below and to the side of your pectoral muscles okay from right here, okay, they, they go from the ribs to the scapula so they help hold your scapula in place. Okay so when you do pull-ups okay you're automatically gonna work your serratus anterior okay muscles right here okay. This position we're gonna go neutral grip so our palms are gonna face each other and you're gonna make sure to pull your shoulders away from your ears to really flex your serratus anterior, really activate that muscle okay. So at an assisted pull-up machine I get my neutral grip, step on the machine, okay I come all the way down. Now make sure to pull my, my shoulders away from my ears before I execute the movement, before I execute the pull-up. Pull your shoulders down away from your ears then pull-up for me, okay down away from your ears, pull your body to the bar bringing your chin over the, over the bar.
