My name is Amanda Kelly, and I'm going to help answer the question, "Is jogging every day bad?" Although jogging is a great cardiovascular exercise, it does put a lot of pressure on those joints. So, you may want to think of some alternatives to jogging everyday. A great alternative to jogging everyday is alternating your workouts. You may jog one day and then the next day, try to do a total body workout. Lunges are great. They keep your legs strong and also stretch through the hip flexors as well. You want to keep your chest up and your core nice and tight and you want to step back, letting the back leg take you down, keeping your chest up. And then you want to return back to start, and alternate sides, and repeat. And you're going to keep lunging, I would say at least 10 repetitions three times. If you do choose to jog every single day, whether on a treadmill or outside, you may want to think about varying your distances for less impact on the joints. For example, if your long run is on Monday, do a short run on Tuesday. If you choose to run fast on Wednesday, take it a little slower on Thursday. That way there you'll have a less impact on the joints on alternating days.
