Hi, my name is Amanda Kelly, and today we're going to talk about different types of running distances. There are many different types of running distances and depending on your goal, today, we're going to talk about a few of those types. A few running distances for example are 5Ks, which are three miles, which tend to be races or something that you can do either on a treadmill or on the road yourself. There's also 10Ks, which is six miles and then you get a little bit longer with half a marathons and marathons as well. Depending on your goal and what you wanted to do, you want to start off slowly if you're a beginner and maybe your goal should be a 5K. If you're someone who's been running a little bit longer, you might want to try 6K. Or, if you're an avid runner, your goal would want to be that half marathon or that full. Even more distances out there to think about, especially if you're a sprinter and you like to run fast and quick. So, a quarter mile is something that I would recommend. Run a quarter mile and then have a rest in between, between a minute to a minute and a half and then repeat and do it again until you get up to a mile of sprints or maybe even make it a little harder and get up to two.
