Hi, my name is Amanda Kelly, and today we are going to talk about jumping. Exercises that involve jumping is an amazing way to increase your cardiovascular endurance. It uses one of the biggest muscles in your body which is your legs. Your quadriceps, your hamstrings, it increases strength in your knee as well. Jumping rope is one of my favorite jumping exercises to increase cardiovascular endurance. I recommend jumping rope in front of a mirror to be sure that you don't trip up on that rope. Jumping rope does not only increase cardiovascular endurance but it also helps with coordination as well. It helps to strengthen the legs especially the calves. And it also incorporates your arms as well for a great cardiovascular workout. Another one of my favorite cardiovascular exercises is squat jumps. It's by far one of my favorites because it helps to strengthen the legs. Which is the biggest muscles in the body. And it really gets that heart rate up to help with cardiovascular endurance. So a great way to do it is you can either do it on the floor but I like to use a step. You are going to jump on top of your step landing your feet flat. And then you are going to jump yourself back off landing your feet flat. Make sure when you are doing squat jumps to be really careful. You want to make sure you land your feet flat. And you also want to make sure to keep your chest up and your butt back. Never draw your hips forward and never lift your heels up.
