I'm Tiffany Anderson. And today, we're going to be talking about how to do an Indian push-up/ Now, you may find an Indian push-up in Yoga, in Karate and even in P90X. The first phase is warming up your shoulders. You want to go find a bar and go ahead and pull your shoulders up and back. Now, this isn't a pull-up, you're just getting your shoulders warm. Another option is using a rubber band. Put the rubber band in front of your face, in front of your chest and then, pull on the band. O.k., five to 10 reps of this, push the band behind your head and five to 10 reps. This should get your shoulders nice and warm. Phase two is practicing your Downward Dog. Your heels go to the floor, your hands are spread, your head is down, you're looking at the floor, your bottom is up. This is also like a flange push-up. Once you have that, it's time to try your Indian push-up. Your head is going to scoop under, what would be an imaginary wire, as you push up. Then, put your bottom back into Downward Dog.
