Hello, I'm Elmore McConnell. Today, we're going to discuss how to get stronger hands for basketball. The reason that you want to have strong hands in basketball is it's going to help you because you have the ball in your hands for 90 percent of the time. It's going to keep you from getting the ball stolen from you, and getting your shot blocked. The best exercise you're going to use is basically going to be a set of vise grips. The reason that you're going to use vise grips, it's one of the easiest tools to use, and it's always laying around the house. You want to do three sets of 20. The reason that you're going to three sets of 20 is because of muscle endurance. You want to increase that muscle endurance -- that's going to help you to be a better basketball player and rebounder. The next exercise is going to be the fingertip push-up. Fingertip push-ups are the most basic and effective exercise. You want to make sure that you're using your fingertips, and not the palm of your hand. When you get down into position, you want to make sure that you have your chest out, and back straight. So, here, chest out, back straight, fingertips, going to go down, up, down, up, down, up. When you're doing this one, you want to make sure you do three sets of 10 in order to get that muscular endurance. That's going to give you stronger hands for basketball.
