Hi, I'm Michael Carson. I'm here to show you how to build up the solar plexus. It's that little region right in here -- you know, that sensitive region that if you put your finger there, you feel almost like, "Wow, that's almost too much for me to touch." The solar plexus actually is a series of nerves that are right behind your stomach. That is the area that most martial artists will target when they're trying to get you in the body. But, if you want to strengthen that area, you want to strengthen your rectus abdominis, the very center line. That tendon is part of your abs right down the middle of your body. Now, in doing this, there are several kind of crunch movements that you can do -- some laying on the floor with your feet elevated, and some laying on the floor with your feet flat. But, either way you're going to focus on keeping the knees tight together when you're bringing the knees toward your body. So, you're really focusing on that center line down the center of the body to create a very strong protection for the solar plexus.
