Hi, I'm Shaun Zetlin, and I'm here to show you the upper quad and hip stretch. This is a great stretch if you sit all day that will open up the upper quad and our hip flexors. To start this upper quad and hip stretch, I'm going to do a modified lunge. I'll begin with my left foot staying stable and my right leg is going to go back about two and a half feet. So to start, we'll take the right leg back and then I'm slowly going to lower my knee all the way to the floor and we're going to hold this stretch for 30 seconds because it is a static stretch and again we always want to perform the stretch at the end of the workout. This is a great stretch because we are opening up the lower back, the hip flexor and this is excellent if you sit all day or if you have any lower back pain and will also promote most importantly, better posture. I'll do the same thing with the other leg, and again 30 seconds on each side.
