Hi, I'm Shaun Zetlin, and I'm here to show you stretches for the hip adductors. So first things first: what is a hip adductor? The adductors are quadricep muscles and they sit on the inside part of the quadricep. Today I'm gonna show you the modified side lunge that will open up those adductors especially if you sit all day. To start the hip adductor stretch I'm gonna step forward with my right leg about one step from my left. Then I'm gonna slightly bend my right knee to the side while my left knee is locked. I want to hold this position again for 30 seconds. I should feel the stretch on my right side, that right inner quadricep. Because this is a static stretch it should be performed after the workout. After I do the right I want to make sure to do the left as well. I'm Shaun Zeltin and that was stretches for the hip adductors using the side lunge to help open up the side of those quadricep muscles and the hip flexors.
