Jeremy Scott here. Today, we're going to talk about stretching under the shoulder blades. When talking about stretching the muscles under your shoulder blades, I'm going to touch on the subscapularis today. And a great stretch you guys can do to open that up, is pretty simple. You simply stand in a vertical, upright position, with your shoulder blades back and down. With your hands at your sides at about 90 degrees, you're simply going to point your thumbs out and rotate as far as you guys feel comfortable or whatever your range of motion is. If you feel a hot spot or trigger point, then you simply have to work on that a little bit to kind of extend that range of motion. You're simply going to return to your starting position. And then, rotate back out again to really open up those muscles underneath the shoulder blades. A great benefit to doing this stretch is not only for injury prevention, but also to maintain shoulder health. So, anybody out there doing any heavy pressing, pulling, or pushing movements. This is vital thing to do, either pre or post workout. And especially if you notice any tension whatsoever in your shoulder blades.
