How to improve your chances of making it to the Division 1 level. There's an old saying, how do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice, practice. And I think this is true for professional schools and it's true for basketball in general. To make it to the next level you have to have a great academic background. You have to have a great understanding of the fundamental of basketball. And also you have to have the mental discipline to do what it takes to be successful in a level where you're doing all of these things together. Every basketball player wants to be and expert. To be an expert in basketball every skill you do you must do it at least 10,000 times to be considered an expert. So part of getting to the next level, if you're in high school, part of getting to college is understanding how crucial it is to practice every day, every opportunity you get but also to understand that you just can't do it as an athlete. College is about the duality of sports and academics together. If you could accomplish those two things you will have a great opportunity to make it at the next level.
