Hi, I'm Chris Richard with Personal Pitcher and this is how you break in a middle infield glove. There are 3 steps to breaking in a middle infield glove. First of all you can put balls inside the glove, wrap it up with rubber bands, put it underneath your bed and hopefully that'll take shape. The best way however is just to play catch with it. Go out and play catch as much as possible. The natural catching action will conform to your hand and you can break it in that way. The 3rd thing is to get a bat or a mallet with the ball at the end of it and just start hammering away with your hand inside and start hammering that leather in. The biggest thing with middle infield gloves is you don't want to have it be a taco okay or just flat, you want it be open. You want the glove to be as wide as possible so it can collect all those ground balls that you need to field. So those are basically the ways to do it. Wrap it with balls, use about 3 balls inside the glove. Play catch with it as much as you can. If you can't play catch grab a bat or a mallet and just start whacking away at that glove and it'll work in. Good luck fielding those grounders and have a great year.
