Hi, this is Jamie Glick. I'm here to talk about pre-warmups for pull-ups. Pull-ups are a very intense full body weight exercise that require the proper amount of warmup so you don't get injured. You can start by doing arm circles and you can do short arm circles to start with. You can do 20 reps circular fashion. Try a small range of motion. And then you can increase your arch, increase your range of motion by doing a larger circle forward. Again 20 repetitions and then go backwards and do another 20 repetitions in a large arc. Next one you can do would be a punch and a row. So you would take both arms and punch them out in front of you. And then row back. We punch and row. And repeat that also for 20 repetitions. The third warmup you can do is for your hands and your forearms. And this is simply opening the hands and closing the hands. Opening the hands, closing the hands. This is a lat pull-down and this would be the final step in your pre-warmup for pull-ups.
