I'm Paj Mohager. Today, we're in Atlanta, Georgia at Jack Fitness. I'm going to show you how to do hexagon squat. The hexagon squat is a great way of still doing squats without having the bar on your back or over your head. So, hexagon squats are a great way of doing squats without having to put a lot of pressure on your back, your shoulders, having a weight over your head, anything like that. It's also a great way to prevent from getting injuries. So, the reason it's called the hexagon squat is because when you're holding the dumbbells, you actually create a hexagon shape from your feet to the dumbbells, all the way up to your shoulders. Now, what I'm doing here is I'm going to hold it little bit outside, I'm going to put the weight in my heels. So, I'm not putting it on my toes where it's going to put a lot of pressure on my knees. So, it's very important to do that. Now, on, as the weight sits on my heels, I'm going to go down and then come back up. Go down and exhale on the way up. You always inhale on the way down, exhale on the way up. That helps you exert that force back up.
