Hi, my name is Charmene Vega, and I'm here to talk to you about the benefits of pickled onions. First of all, there are different onions that you can get. You can get white ones, red ones, brown ones. I chose red ones. the reason I use red onions is because they are higher in antioxidants and they're lower in sugar, they have less sugar than the other ones. So therefore they're going to help with anti-inflammatory, they're gonna help with your circulation, they're going to help lower your blood pressure and all of those things. Now, first thing I did is I took the onion, cut it in half, and then I'm gonna cut it so that I end up getting little ringlets. You take that, you're gonna put it in the jar. Then when you put that in the jar, you're going to add a little bit of garlic to that. Then, I'm going to add pepper, so that I have some pepper that I'm adding to it, and I chose little pepper pellets that are different colors because that's different heat levels, and also different nutrients that come out of those peppers. And then I'm gonna top it off by adding red wine vinegar. I added red wine vinegar because that has a lot more antioxidants than some of your other vinegars as well. Then I just put the cap on and you're gonna let that sit for approximately two weeks, let it marinate, and then you can eat it and enjoy all the benefits that you're gonna get from the red onions and the red wine vinegar. All these high antioxidants help with your circulation and everything that you would need including being lower on the glycemic index. As Mama Vega always says, chew on this.
