I'm Warren Honeycutt, President of Get Honeycutt. Guys, how do you increase your bench press to 300 pounds? Well, first of all, the reason you want to do this, once you're there you will be in a minority of people. Only 1 in about 2,500 people can bench press 300 pounds. There's a 300 pound club, and you guys are all familiar with it. Here's how we do it. We take your maximum bench press right now, 65 percent of it, and then we do three reps for 10 sets. First thing we do for the proper form on the bench press is unrack the bar, come down, touch the chest for one second, take two seconds coming down, and explode back up. Three reps, 10 sets. Now, as soon as you get the 10 sets, the next workout you add 10 pounds. You do the same thing. When you're not able to do the 10 sets, you do nine sets and then one rep, you drop that set the next workout. Go all the way down to doing one set of three reps. At the end of eight to 10 weeks, your bench press will go up 25 to 30 percent. If your max was 200, it will be at 235, you start the process over.
