Hi, I'm Nick Webster, and I'm here, today, to show you how to play an attacking midfielder in soccer. This position is absolutely vital. You are the conductor of the team. You see the entire field, you've got the ball at your feet. You wanna see teammates that are open, teammates that are under pressure, and you also wanna have an eye for gold so you can be the hero of the game. There's definitely three major components to playing attacking midfielder in soccer. The first is receiving the pass. What you want to be able to do is see where the space is. As the goal's played, you're gonna move away from your defender while looking to see where your teammates are, so you can play them that ball first or second time. The second part is playing the pass. This is absolutely key because the ball needs to be played with the right pace and the right weight. What you want to be able to do is play the ball into space so that your teammate can run onto it, or directly to their feet. The last thing I wanna stress is thinking on your feet. Have the ability to paint pictures in your mind. And, what I mean by that is know where the defenders are, anticipate where your teammates are gonna go. If you can do those two things, you're gonna be a great attacking midfielder in soccer.
