Hi, I'm Denise Druce. Let's take a look at some yoga poses for kayakers. I'll show you ways to loosen up your shoulders and work your core. Kayakers need a great deal of shoulder mobility, rotational ability and core strength. So let's start holding a strap as wide as you need to and then we'll take the strap up and over. You just want to do this as many times as you need to in order to feel loose and relaxed through the shoulders. Over time you can walk your hands closer together to get an even greater stretch. The second thing we'll do is twisting boat. So we'll come into Boat Pose and just roll back a little bit on our hips, let your feet float off the floor, interlace your fingers and then just begin to twist from side to side, so great rotation, great core strength. After you've done that about 20 repetitions, let your feet fall to the floor, extend one leg and just come into a seated twist and you'll hold this pose for five to ten breaths.
