Hi, I'm Coach Collin Castellaw, and let's learn how to be a quicker dribbler. It's really easy to get the ball moving quickly and that way you can keep your defender on their toes. Alright so there's a few different drills you can do to get quicker at dribbling and one of my personal favorites are the pound dribble. Okay the pound dribble you can do with either your dominant hand or your off hand. I like to do them both in the same workout and it starts at three different levels. You start pounding the ball as hard as you can down by your ankles for ten reps. Then your next ten reps you're going to pound the ball as hard as you can at your knees and then the next ten reps you're going to pound the ball as hard as you can at your shoulders. The reason why it's important to pound the ball really hard is the harder you pound the ball down, the quicker it will come back to your hand and the faster your dribble is going to be and so pound dribbles are a great drill to do this.
