It's really important because you don't have a whole lot of time and you want to make sure you reach your goals. So first you want to start off with your goals. And then you want to break your goals down. And finally you want to find a way to measure the progress of reaching your goals. If you had a goal to strengthen your stomach muscles then you want to plan. You want an exercise that can strengthen the rectus abdominus, the side oblique muscles and also the lower back. So for strengthening the rectus abdominus muscle a wonderful exercise is the reverse crunch. Another wonderful exercise for your oblique muscles or the side waistline muscles is the side twist on the ball. And finally the last exercise to strengthen your body especially your lower back, cause it's very important. If you're going to strengthen your stomach muscles you need to also strengthen your lower back. Is the plank. And that's a wonderful functional exercise.
