How are you doing? Scott White, Scottsdale, Arizona. I'm going to talk to you about dead lifting with wrist straps. When you dead lift with wrist straps obviously you can increase the load. Translation means you can lift a lot more weight. When you lift a lot more weight you can increase your strength as well as increase your musculature at a faster rate. You want to make sure obviously you have good form and mechanics when you do your dead lifts. If you don't use wrist straps you're going to have to use a lot more strength in your forearms, which will limit the amount of weight that you life as well as can limit the amount of muscles you can build because you have less load. When you use wrist straps they look like this. What you do is take it all the way out, you feed it through this hole and then is comes through, you wrap it around your wrist and then you pull it tight. You feed that around the bar and then wrap your arms or your hand around the bar. You do this with both your hands and then you get into good dead lift position. Once you're in good dead lift position, since you have the wrist straps you can lift a lot heavier weights. So you want to increase your weight than normal. Obviously warm up, make sure you do it with good form. We don't add any risk for injuries or any of that stuff. So the wrist straps can aid you in lifting a lot more weight. This is why wrist straps can benefit you in your lifting routine.
