Hi, I'm Scott White from Scottsdale, Arizona. We're gonna talk to you about how to improve handstand pushups. Just like any other movement, there's only a handful of things you can do to improve on something. So one, is you can increase the resistance, so add weight to yourself like a weight vest. You can decrease the resistance, so have somebody assist you so it's easier to perform the handstand movements. Try to do more reps than you've ever done before. So if you can only do 10 reps, work on doing 11 reps, 12 reps and so forth. To do this, you can do handstand pushups in a lot of different ways. Let's just start off with the basics. So the basic handstand pushup is you go up into a handstand feet against the wall to help create balance for you so you don't fall over. So, to increase resistance, obviously you would add a weight vest and you'd do your handstand pushups bending at your elbows and pressing back up. Head slightly touch the floor or just slightly off the floor. And so bending your elbows down and extending your elbows up with your hands about shoulder-width apart. Can you have your hands closer together? Sure, can you can have your hands a little further apart? Sure, but this puts more strain on your shoulders if they're further apart. Closer together makes it a little more difficult. If you want to decrease your resistance, you can do hand stand pushups with your feet on a swiss ball or on a box, so it would lower the weight of your body. This way you could do more handstand pushups, which would increase the amount of handstand pushups you can do, which would again, you know, improve your handstand pushups.
