Hi I'm Wendy and these are lifting exercises for the triceps. The triceps are a very important muscle. They are located in the backs of the arms. A lot of women as they age get very loose in their arms. Men also, although they don't get as loose, they can't round out the look of their arms without developing the bicep as well as the tricep. For the dumbbell overhead tricep extension, we can use one dumbbell or two, extend the dumbbell straight up, the one or two dumbbells straight up to the sky until our arms are extended. On the French curl or skull crusher, what we are going to do is load up an easy curl bar. We'll use collars for safety. Our elbows will be facing the sky. Once our elbows are facing the sky, we're going to bring our hands down to our forehead and lift them back up, arms extended towards the sky again. For the push down exercise, with a rope, we will stand erect with our shoulders back, grab the rope on either side, pull it straight down so our triceps are firm and tight, on our sides, hold the contraction for a second and bring it back up. Repeating these exercises for about ten to fifteen repetitions each one.
